Do you do preorders?

We would certainly like to hear from you if you are interested in an upcoming module, the more customer feedback we receive means we can have a better idea of how popular a new product will be and adjust our orders accordingly.  However we won't take any money from you until the products actually arrive and can be sent to you as there can be any number of delays in the manufacturing and procurement of your order.

Do you do refunds?  Can I send you back the module after I've decided I don't like it.

Unfortunately we can't accept returns if you decide that the module isn't for you.  We only sell new products as supplied to us direct from the manufacturer, no demo units or resales.  The nature of modular synthesizers and their custom enclosures / power supplies etc makes for a very difficult area to guarantee to the next customer that their module is as it should be.  If you happen to receive a module that you believe might be faulty then please contact us and we can help you troubleshoot and, in the worst case scenario, you can return the module to us and we can get in touch with the technical contact at the manufacturer to organise a replacement or repair.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing but all this modular stuff seems amazing.  Please help!

Not a problem!  Please feel free to get in touch and we can talk you through the basics of getting started or point you in the direction of modules and makers that might suit your taste or style.

Hey where is my favourite brand X?

We are constantly looking to expand our range of brands, and many more are in the pipeline but let us know what you would like to see and we'll try our best to make it happen.

What's with all the euro, where's the 'nanas?

Currently we are focused on Eurorack and compatible products but that's not to say that we aren't interested in the big world of modular in general. If there's something that you think we should be stocking then let us know

Is this a legit shop? do you have a retail outlet? where are you based?

Patchcable is a registered business tied to legal company entity. We are not looking at a retail outlet at this stage and plan on keeping it online only for now, less money on overheads means more for modules which we think makes sense for everyone. Finally, we are based in Hobart, Tasmania.

What about shipping costs?

To keep things simple we have one flat rate of $15. Doesn't matter if you buy one module or ten. It's still $15 - which includes express post (2 days on average), tracking and signature on delivery. For big and bulky items then it's off to a courier so delivery times might be a little different but the cost is still the same: $15.

Does that include New Zealand?  Singapore?  Japan?

We are keen to support all customers but as of yet we don't have automatic shipping rates in place for locations outside of Australia.  Please let us know what you would like to order and we can work out the shipping costs manually.
